Jason Morris
Dean of Students/Assistant Athletic Director

 

Mr. Morris enters his 24th year in the Chelsea School District and his fourth in a full-time administrative role at Chelsea High School.  In addition to assisting with athletics, Mr. Morris heads up our virtual learning (21F) program and assists with attendance and 11th and 12th grade student discipline.  Mr. Morris had spent the past seven years serving as the assistant athletic director and recently taught social studies classes at Chelsea High School.  Prior to arriving at Chelsea High School, Mr. Morris served as a social studies teacher at Beach Middle School in Chelsea for 15 years and spent five of those years as the Middle School Athletic Director.  

His hobbies include serving as the public address announcer for Chelsea Football and Chelsea Boys Basketball, as well as the University of Michigan Baseball, Hockey and Men's Gymnastics teams.

Mr. Morris is proud to call Chelsea home and resides here with his wife Bethany and daughter Kate, who is in 8th grade and attends Beach Middle School.  He also has a 1 year old lab named Bailey and a 2 1/2  year old pug named Frank.

1996-1998:  Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach @ Belleville High School
1999:  Student teacher (8th Grade American History) at Beach Middle School in Chelsea Michigan; Graduated from Eastern Michigan University with degree in Secondary Education, along with a history major & geography minor
2001-2011:  Middle School Football Coordinator; 8th Grade/Freshmen Boys Basketball Coach; Freshmen/JV Baseball Coach
2001-2010:  Social Studies Teacher at Beach Middle School -- Chelsea, MI
2004:  Masters in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College -- Detroit, MI
2011-2016:  Social Studies Teacher and Athletic Director at Beach Middle School -- Chelsea, MI
2016-2019: Assistant Athletic Director and Social Studies Teacher at Chelsea High School -- Chelsea, MI
2019-Present: Dean of Students and Assistant Athletic Director at Chelsea High School -- Chelsea, MI
