Leadership Opportunities
Bulldog Mentors
Bulldog Mentors is a student led club aimed at helping ease the transition for students who transfer to Chelsea High School in 10th through 12th grade. Bulldog Mentors volunteer to welcome new students to the culture and expectations of Chelsea High School. By connecting students who are new to the district with a CHS mentor, the hope is to create a sense of comfort and connection for incoming students. Bulldog Mentors participate in the new student orientation the week before school starts. They also participate in activities to get to know and welcome new students. Club meetings occur every other week on Thursdays during zero hour in the counseling office. Mentors stay connected with the new students throughout the year and reach out to check in. Mentors also volunteer to give new students tours or let them shadow for the day.

Link Crew
Link Crew is a program aimed at helping ease the transition of incoming 9th grade students to the culture and expectations of a new school environment. The Link Crew's goal is to create a sense of comfort for incoming students while also addressing the attitudes of upperclassmen towards these new students. By utilizing a structured format and highly trained leaders, this program is built on the belief that if freshmen are supported and guided by strong mentorship, this will lead to ensure success for their high school careers. This program also allows upperclassmen to develop their leadership capacity while helping freshmen with the assimilation process. The Link Crew begins with a powerful orientation program that makes freshmen excited and proud to be part of their new school and allows them to begin developing relationships and strategies that will contribute to their high school success. After orientation, the yearlong program continues by providing a variety of both academic and social follow up activities.
