Summer School
Summer School Criteria

To recover lost credit, students may take classes they have failed.

To receive credit the class must be approved in advance by the counselor and building administrator.

Students may not take required classes in summer school for credit prior to taking them in the regular school program.

In extreme situations, exceptions to the above may be approved by the principal.

The Chelsea Summer School Program is available to Chelsea high school students who wish to make-up credit(s) due to failure(s)/loss of credit(s) for the following courses:
- English 9 A / B
- English 10 A / B
- American Literature A / B
- English 12 A / B
- Civics
- World History A / B
- US History A / B
- Biology 1 A / B
- Chemistry 1 A / B
- Physical Science 1 or 2
- Physics A / B
- Algebra 2 A / B
Students may take two courses (.5 credit each) one course per session. A certified teacher will be available to assist students with technical issues. Students work at own pace but all work must be completed in the classroom setting
CHS CPM (College Prep Math) Summer School

The Chelsea College Prep Math Summer School Program is available to any Chelsea high school student who wishes to make-up credit(s) due to failure(s)/loss of credit(s) in Algebra 1 or Geometry. Students may take one course (.5 credit each) per session.
CPM summer school is an opportunity to take classes in the summer to earn credits for classes in which they may have either failed or lost credit. The classes will be taught by a certified instructor and students must attend every day.
