“Building futures as a community.”For many years the Chelsea Scholarship Committee has issued hundreds of scholarship awards to qualified graduating Seniors of Chelsea High School.
This effort is the result of the continuing support of individuals, organizations, and corporations in Chelsea, and the surrounding area, whose financial contributions provide additional means in assisting graduates to continue their academic/vocational education.
The Chelsea Scholarship Committee is staffed by volunteers who believe that support of the Scholarship Awards is of primary importance to the Chelsea community, its young people, and the future. The community ties of each of the volunteer Committee members encompasses their long standing dedication and support of students.
Your support and contribution to the Chelsea Scholarship Committee Fund solidifies this belief and assists in “Building futures as a community”.
Contributions
A contribution to the Chelsea Scholarship Committee Fund provides financial benefits to you and a graduating Chelsea High School Senior. Contributions can be made as: cash donations, memorials, stocks/bonds or trusts.
The award funds are managed by the Chelsea School District under specific guidelines. Your contribution may qualify as tax deductible; please consult your tax advisor for your individual circumstances.
Award Distribution
The Chelsea Scholarship Committee awards are made to graduating Seniors of Chelsea High School based upon academic standing, leadership, and/or financial need. These awards are made possible by donations of area businesses and community members.
Chelsea High School Seniors who apply to the Chelsea Scholarship Committee are eligible for consideration under the non-discrimination policy of the Chelsea School District.
General scholarship funds awarded are typically $500.00 - $1,000.00 each. The number of awards given each year depends on the amount of contributions received. Specific awards, as listed in the previous page, have different amounts based on the fund’s total, interest earned and specific guidelines. Therefore, it is our goal to provide funds to a larger number of students each year through donations received.
A Gift In Return
The continuing support of our community has a strong history. The contributions received to advance the education of Chelsea High School graduates is greatly appreciated. Your support and contribution to the Chelsea Scholarship Committee assists in “Building futures as a community”.
