Transcript Requests

Transcripts MUST BE  requested through Naviance.

Log in to Naviance here

  • Click on “Student”
  • Click on “Single sign on” (make sure you're already logged into your school email on another tab).
  • Once you're in click on “Colleges”
  • Click on “Colleges I'm Applying to”
    • If you are applying to your college via Common App match your Common App account to Naviance by clicking on the “Match” button. This syncs the 2 accounts and populates the schools you are applying to in Common App. We automatically send transcripts to colleges you are applying to via Common App -it is part of the Common App documents that we send.
  • For Colleges that are not Common App, Click on the pink "Add" button.
  • Under “Which College Are you Applying to?” type the name of the college or university you want to send the transcript to.
  • Under “App Type” choose either rolling, Early Action, Regular Decision - this sets the deadline for the counseling office.
  • Under “I’ll submit my application” choose “direct to institution” or “Common App”   If you do not choose one, the software prevents us from sending the transcript for you.

Please note: whichever one you pick, the transcript is sent through that particular system if you change the way you apply, the college will not be able to see your transcript!

  • Click on "Add and Request Transcript"
  • Click on "Initial" ; "Midyear"  (includes Term 1- Term 2 grades) ; or "Final"  (YOU  must request your final transcript)Do not worry about the question about including the SAT score (if you need the SAT score to be shown, please email your counselor to request this)
  • Click on “Request and Finish”

Sending SAT or ACT Test Scores

Go to the website of the college you are applying to. Look at their application requirements to see if SAT scores are required or if they are optional.

“Official” scores are those sent directly from the College Board website.

Go to https://www.collegeboard.org/ and log in with your username and password.
View your SAT score then find the link that says “score send” on that page.

Each score send costs $12. Make sure to order the score send ahead of your deadline.

If you do not need an “official” SAT score, but you would like the admissions rep. to view your score on your CHS transcript, contact your counselor. Since many universities are score optional and since the one on the transcript is unofficial, our default transcript does not display your SAT score
